Ways of giving to the Gospel Music Museum

Without the help of our donors, members and friends, the Museum would not be able to document the history of gospel music, educate thousands of school children, and connect generations. The Gospel Music Museum is a not-for-profit organization, classified as tax-exempt under section 501(3)C of the Internal Revenue Code. Gifts may be deductible to the extent permitted by law. Matching Gifts

Many companies sponsor matching gift programs that will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Many even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. Check with your company for more information on its matching gift program.

Endowment Gifts

These are major gifts that help ensure the long-term financial security of the Museum.

Gifts of Appreciated Securities

A gift of appreciated securities is a very tax-effective way to support the Gospel Music Museum. When you donate appreciated stocks to the Museum, you avoid the capital gains tax you would have paid if you had sold the asset. The tax savings, both in income and capital gains taxes, make gifts of securities a popular alternative to cash.

Individuals planning their estates frequently want to do something more lasting that permanently recognizes how gospel music enriched their lives. You can provide enduring support to the Museum by including a bequest in your will or trust.
